With a little help from everyone, we turned the display window at the Tractor Tavern into a Weatherside Wonderland. Posters painted and printed by Amy, cool rustic stuff supplied by Tanner and the elbow grease applied by Jakob and Jacob. Nice job team!!!

It has been a little over a year since we went into Avast! Recording Co. to record our new album, 'Honey Moon'. Here is a little glimpse into the making of the album. We are very excited to host the release party at the Tractor Tavern on May 23rd. Join us for an epic show, be one of the first to get a copy of the new album and check out our new round of WWB merchandise.
In anticipation of our upcoming show A Bluegrass Christmas with Weatherside Whiskey Band at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, here is a collection of three of our favorite jams from our last performance at WICA.
This summer, three of the four of us took our marriage vows... hence our absence for what would have been prime months of gigging and festivals.
In July, we road tripped out to Cody, WY for the nuptials of Jakob & Tiffany.
After a beautiful ceremony at Jakob's mom's property, we partied at Cassie's Supper Club until the wee hours of the early a.m.
Then in August, we all gathered under a lone pine tree near a rustic barn on beautiful Whidbey Island for the wedding of Tanner & Amy.
Jakob and Jacob played the role of handsome ushers for the ceremony. Although the Miss Lonely Hearts rocked the barn for most of the reception, the Weatherside Whiskey Band gathered on stage for a fun set, too :)
After a summer music hiatus, heading into the fall to gig and get back to work on the album was exactly what we all needed. October brought a gig at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard, which turned out a bunch of you, the bandwagon, for a rockin' bluegrass bill. Spare Rib and the Bluegrass Sauce kicked it off, and Heels to the Hardwood got the crowd pumped up before we took the stage with a surprise addition - our guest drummer, Mike Ahrens. You'll hear more of Mike once we finally complete our new album...
Speaking of which, we've booked dates to get back in the studio and are going to be pouring all our free time into the project so that we can release it in early 2015. In the meantime, we're busting out our best Christmas tunes in preparation for our December 21st show at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts.
After eight days of recording from 10 am to midnight, we are done with the tracking phase of our new full length album. We have been listening to the rough mixes with a critical ear for anything we need to fix before we start mixing. With the weddings looming in the near future, it feels like the calm before the storm. Once we get our ducks in a row, we are gonna push this exciting new LP with everything we got.
